UR Primary Care Practice at the new South East YMCA, Rochester, NY requested the installation of a white noise sound masking system. Sound masking was installed throughout the practice to create acoustic privacy throughout the medical practice. This sound masking and white noise system will provide speech and verbal privacy between exam rooms, in corridors, open office spaces, and in the patient check in and check out areas.
The system is tuned for optimal acoustic performance in that space. This white noise system meets and exceeds all standards set by HIPAA for a medical practice to take appropriate measures to create speech privacy and mitigate eaves dropping on personal and private information by rendering verbal speech unintelligible.
